| About Hana Nursery |
| Hana Nursery was started in 1971 as a family operation in the Honokalani section of Hana, Maui. Growing and collecting various plant materials from all over Hawaii and the world via participation in industry associations like the ‘Hawaii Nurseryman’s Association’, ‘Maui Nurseryman’s Association’, ‘International Palm Society’, ‘Australian Cordyline Society’ and others. Plants and seeds were collected from worldwide sources and the Hana Nursery collection grew to botanical garden proportions. This necessitated a move to a 5 acre location on the Hana Highway in the new Hana AG Park which was developed into ‘Hana Gardenland’. This site was operated for several years but was eventually sold and all operations returned to the original Hana Nursery site in Honokalani on Waianapanapa State Park Road. |

Today the retail nursery is open every day as well as the display gardens with a large collection of Aglaonemas, Dieffenbachia’s
and Philodendrons (Aroids). Many other specialty plants like Anthuriums, Dracaenas, Ficus, Ferns and others are featured in the
Nursery and for sale in various size pots.
In addition Hana Nursery features a large collection of Hawaiian ‘Air Plant’ Tillandsia products mounted on driftwood, shells and
bare root for ‘do-it-yourselfers’.
20+ different varieties of palms are a special feature and many are rare and different such as the ‘Foxtail’, ‘Feather’, ‘Fishtail’,
‘Royal’, ‘Neahtha Bella’, and ‘Giant Fan’.
Hana Nursery also serves select Hawaii retailers with products and service via sales representative delivery and store service.
Hana Nursery is always searching for and offering new and different plant products like ‘Lucky Bamboo Gardens’, ‘Staghorn
Fern Plaques’, new and different hanging baskets, tropical dish gardens and new varieties from world wide sources as well as
our own extensive collection.
